Acute Effects:
Swallowed:
May be harmful if swallowed.
May cause spontaneous vomiting.
Ingestion can result in nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Abdominal pain and/or convulsions.
Eyes:
Moderate eye irritant.
High concentrations of vapour will cause irritation.
May cause soreness.
May cause watering of eyes.
May cause conjunctivitis.
Skin
Repeated or prolonged skin contact may lead to irritation.
Will have a defatting effect on the skin.
Irritant dermatitis may result from working with this material.
Inhaled:
Harmful by inhalation.
May cause irritation to the nose and throat.
Inhalation may result in headache, dizziness and possible nausea.
FIRST AID:
Swallowed:
Give plenty of water to drink. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
If vomiting occurs give further water to achieve effective dilution.
Seek medical advice if effects persist.
Eyes:
Irrigate with copious quantity of water for at least 15 minutes
Seek medical advice if effects persist.
Skin:
Immediately wash affected areas with copious quantities of water.
If irritation occurs, seek medical attention.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use.
Apply lanolin rich cream.
Inhaled:
Remove victim to fresh air and avoid becoming a casualty.
Apply artificial respiration of required.
Investigate possible misuse of this material.
