PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Exposure Limits:

Exposure standards (as Phosphoric Acid 1mg/m (NOHSC/ASCC)

Exposure standards is the time weighed average concentration of the work atmosphere over a normal 8 hour work day and a 40 hour

work week. Nearly all workers may be repeatedly exposed to this level, day after day, without adverse effects.

These exposure limits are issued as guidelines for good practice. All atmospheric contamination should be kept to as low a level as

is practically possible.

These exposure limits should not be used as fine lines between safe and dangerous concentrations.

A “Skin” notation indicates that this substance will also be readily absorbed through the skin, which may be airborne material or

direct contact. The exposure limit is obviously invalidated if such contact should occur.

Engineering Controls:

Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid generation and inhalation of mists or aerosols.

Personal Protection:

The following personal protective equipment should be worn: overalls or similar protective apparel, chemical goggles, face shield

and PVC or rubber gloves. Always wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet.

Flammability:

Non combustible. Non flammable.

Environment:

This substance may be hazardous to the environment; special attention should be given to containing spillage and preventing free

entry to waterways.

Other precautions:

PERSONAL PROTECTION : Before handling, ensure that there are no naked light or strong heat sources in the vicinity.

DO NOT SMOKE.

SAFETY HANDLING INFORMATION

Storage & Transport:

Keep containers closed at all times. Do not use aluminum or galvanized containers.

Spills and Disposal:

The following protective equipment should be worn; impervious overalls or similar protective apparel, safety glasses, goggles or

faceshield as appropriate. Isolate leaking containers and stop leek if safe to do so.

Use absorbent (soil or sand, sawdust, inert material, vermiculite). Sweep up, collect and seal in properly labeled plastic drums

for disposal. Wash away residues with water.

Reactivity Data:

Attacks metals forming combustible gas (hydrogen). Reacts with chlorine containing compounds and nitrites to produce gases.

Fire/Explosion Hazard:

Non combustible. In case of fire in the surroundings, use the appropriate extinguishing method for the area.
