HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Acute Effects:
Swallowed:
May cause severe burns to the mouth, throat and stomach.
Symptoms include: burning sensation, nausea and vomiting.
Eyes:
A severe eye irritant.
May cause conjunctivitis, corneal burns and ulceration.
Skin
Repeated or prolonged skin contact may lead to dermatitic effects.
Inhaled:
In case of mists or aerosols, may be corrosive to mucous membranes and respiratory tract.
Symptoms include: burning sensation, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis and vomiting.
FIRST AID:
Swallowed:
Rinse mouth thoroughly with water immediately. Give water to drink. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
Seek immediate medical assistance.
Poison Information Centres in each State capital city can provide additional assistance for scheduled poisons.

Eyes:
Immediately irrigate with copious quantity of water for at least 15 minutes.
Eyelids to be held open.
In all cases of eye contamination it is a sensible precaution to seek medical advice.
Skin:
Immediately wash affected areas with copious quantities of water.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use.
Seek medical advice if effects persist.
Inhaled:
Not normal mode of entry. In the event of inhalation of mists or aerosols remove patient from area.
Avoid becoming a casualty. Apply artificial respiration if indicated.
Advice to Doctor:
Treat symptomatically as for strong acids.
