4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Swallowed
: Do NOT induce vomiting. Do NOT give an unconscious person anything
to drink. Rinse mouth out with water then give a glass of water to drink. If symptoms
develop seek medical advice.
NEVER
give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Eye Exposure
: Rinse with plenty of water, including under the eyelids for 15 minutes.
In all cases of eye contamination it is a sensible precaution to seek medical advice.
Skin Exposure
: Wash affected area with water. Remove contaminated clothing and
launder before reuse. If skin irritation persists, seek medical advice.
Inhalation
: If inhaled, remove victim from contaminated area. Apply artificial
respiration if not breathing. If symptoms develop seek medical attention.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

During fire oxides of nitrogen and carbon may be
produced.
Suitable extinguishing media:
Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding
fire.
Specific hazards during fire fighting:
Material can splatter above 100C/212F. Dried
product can burn.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus and protective suit.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions
:
Use personal protective equipment to ensure no eye or skin exposure.
Material can create slippery conditions.
Environmental precautions:
Do not allow spillage to enter drains, sewers or waterways. Mop up material or use
absorbent material. If spillage enters waterways contact the Environmental Protection
Authority, or the local Waste Management Authority.
Methods & Materials for Containment & Clean Up
:
Contain spills immediately with inert materials (e.g. sand, earth).
Transfer liquids and solid material to separate suitable containers for recovery or
disposal.
