PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Exposure Limits:

Exposure Standards (as Potassium hydroxide), 2mg/m Ceiling (NOHSC/ASCC).

Exposure Standards is the time weighed average concentration of the work atmosphere over a normal 8 hour work day and a 40

hour work week.

Nearly all workers may be repeatedly exposed to this level, day after day, without adverse effects. These exposure standards are

issued as guidelines for good practice. All atmospheric contamination should be kept to as low a level as is practically possible.

These exposure standards should not be used as fine lines between safe and dangerous concentrations. A “Skin” notation indicates

that this substance will also be readily absorbed through the skin, which may be airborne material or direct contact. The exposure

limit is obviously invalidated if such contact should occur.

Ceiling Value - is the concentration that should not be exceeded even instantaneously.

Engineering Controls:

Use with adequate ventilation.

Maintain concentration below recommended exposure limit.

Avoid generation and inhalation of mists or aerosols.
